Cet article examine la façon dont le ministère faisait face à l’afflux de correspondances du monde entier. Comment ces correspondances étaient classées, retravaillées, résumées. Qui les lisait ? Comment le ministère y répondait-il ? Quelle était l’importance des écritures grises ?
The diplomats and the consuls are at the origin of a detailed correspondence, whereby they pass on a lot of information to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. What influence did that information have upon the decision-making process? This article examines the way in which the Ministry faced up to the inflow of correspondence from the whole world. How was this correspondence classified, edited, summed up? Who read it? How did the Ministry answer it? Which was the importance of the so-called “grey writings”?
