DANS LA TRANSITION ESPAGNOLE

Dans le contexte de l’étude du « facteur international » de la Transition espagnole, cet article analyse les grands axes de la politique étrangère démocratique et le rôle des diplomates dans ce processus.
La réforme démocratique, qui a touché aussi aux relations internationales du pays, a permis à l’Espagne d’accéder aux institutions occidentales, et de compter sur une coopération efficace des membres du corps diplomatique, en dépit de leur ancienne appartenance à la bureaucratie de la dictature franquiste.
In the context of the study of the so-called «international factor» of Spanish Transition, this article analyzes the major axes of the new and democratic foreign policy, and the role of diplomats in this process.
The democratic reform, which also concerned the international relations of the country, made possible Spain’s entry into Western institutions; and it counted with an effective cooperation by members of the diplomatic corps, despite their former membership in the bureaucracy of the Franco’s regime.
